Veterinary Technicians
Job Description: Overview
We are seeking a motivated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a team player and possess a strong knowledge of veterinary practices. We are a state of the art practice with excellent staff and clientele.
Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Conduct X-rays and assist in diagnostic imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment protocols
Requirements
- Proficiency in animal anatomy, handling, and husbandry
- Experience with animal catheterization and laboratory procedures
- Knowledge of veterinary critical care and terminology
- Proficiency in anesthesia and patient monitoring desired
- 3-5 years experience in a veterinary hospital preferred
Hours & Pay
- Full-time and Part-time openings
- Pay: $20.00 – $26.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
