Meet Our Team
Our Veterinarians
At Peake Brook Veterinary Center, our compassionate, experienced, and professional staff understand that your pets are members of your family – and as such, their well-being is of the utmost importance.
Dr. Gwenn Gaumond
Dr. Gaumond attended Tuft’s Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in North Grafton, MA, graduating with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2016.
Dr. Gaumond has worked locally since graduation and now proudly owns both Dr. Gwenn Mobile Vet – a full service, mobile veterinary clinic – and Peake Brook Veterinary Center.
Through her two successful practices, she brings full-service small animal veterinary care to Woodstock and the surrounding towns in Northeastern Connecticut.
Dr. Elizabeth Middleton
Dr. Elizabeth Middleton was raised in Colchester, CT, and moved to Oklahoma in 2009 to pursue her lifelong dream of veterinary medicine.
Prior to attending veterinary school, she gained experience as a veterinary technician in a mixed animal practice and an animal emergency hospital in Tulsa.
She earned her degree in Zoology from the University of Oklahoma and graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2018. Following veterinary school, Dr. Middleton moved back to New England to be with her family.
Dr. Middleton particularly enjoys developing long-lasting relationships with her patients and clients and educating clients on preventative care, behavior, and management of chronic conditions.
Dr. Kristin Williams
Dr. Kristin Williams is a 1996 graduate of Dartmouth College and a 2008 graduate of the Tufts-Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation from vet school she worked in the spirit of James Herriot, caring for all animals both large and small in Northern Maine and then Western NY for several years. She finally returned to her native state of CT in 2015, and has focused exclusively on small animals since that time.
Dr. Williams enjoys helping to provide animals with excellent medical care, and appreciates being a small part of the amazing services that Dr. Gwenn and her staff are able to provide to patients in the surrounding Peake Brook community.
When not at work, Dr. Williams can be found caring for her 3 trail horses, 1 Brown Swiss steer (named Henry by her husband and fellow large animal vet Dr. David Hernke), 2 goats, 3 dogs (including 2 Springer Spaniels), and 3 cats.
